My name is Kira Andreucci. For my 11th birthday I asked for money to start Karing 4 Kidz, a project to help less fortunate children with kidpacks containing nonperishable, nutritious food items for the weekend. I made kidpacks for 10 kids to take home on Fridays and delivered them each week with the help of my parents. This is my ninth year with 6 Fitchburg schools and 10 volunteers helping 272 children! I'm a chapter of Blessings in a Backpack a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Numbers Don't Lie
For the first time in our five years we began the school year with more kids then we ended with. Karing 4 Kidz is helping 199 children every week in all 4 Fitchburg Public Elementary Schools and expect more as the school year progresses. The need is greater then ever and how can we say NO MORE, when the schools call and ask can we help another child in need. if you're able to help with fundraising in any way please email kiraandreucci@hotmail.com.
I believe this mission is extremely valuable to the children in our community and the love for one another can only make the world a better place...

I Love the Burg
Karing 4 Kidz will begin its fifth year helping our kids in the Fitchburg Public Elementary Schools. Last year the need was greater than ever before and I'm sure this year will be also. We are in great need so I'm asking for your help. For a $15 donation we can feed 5 kids. But wait there's more, get a free T-shirt that reads, "I ❤ the Burg". We can show our love for our city by showing some pride and also helping our less fortunate kids. Get yours today at Prime Thread, 140 Lunenburg St., Cozy Corner CafĂ©, 144 Lunenburg St or Putnam Street Lanes, 14 Putnam St., Fitchburg.
If you can or are willing to help us with a fundraiser please call 978-235-4786.
Thank You!

Schools out!
We ended the year with 153 kids this is more then we ever had in our 4 years. Knowing our funds would be very low as they are right now we never said, "no more kids". At a cost of about $3.00 per child our weekly amount needed was $459.00. How can we allow any child to go without needed food and live with ourselves? We are asking for your help this summer by giving a a small donation or maybe coming up with a fundraising idea. In September we will be starting our 5th year. Please help us continue to help the kids and let them know we care about them, as no kid should have to worry about when they will have their next meal. We would like to thank our volunteers who were there every week to pack and deliver, Lanni Orchards for a box of apples every week and everyone who cared enough to help in any way. Enjoy your summer, be safe and love one another.

New Kidz Added
Even now this far into the school year we are still asked to help additional kids. They may be new kids that just came into one of our schools or kids that were just now found and need help. We will never say NO. This child may be in a greater need than any one we are currently helping. This week in the food packs, as a snack, we gave oreo cookies, they were on sale for the first time this school year. One school reported that the kids acted as if it were Christmas. Hearing this reminds me how fortunate I am, and with little effort what my team and I can do to help the lives of others. Some people asked me how can someone your age do that, I just think how can I not.....Kira

Volunteering?
Volunteering takes up time and sometimes money. It can be hard work. It can be even scary. So why do it? Well here’s why! Some people need help through no fault of their own. Large families, loss of job and chronic sickness are all unfortunate circumstances. Without people volunteering their help the world becomes a heartless place; everyone looking out for themselves. What a sad world we would live in. People who become volunteers are happier and live more satisfying lives. So what are you waiting for?
