What We Do,

As we begin a new school year, we are proud to continue our work helping students facing food insecurity return to school on Monday morning nourished and ready to learn.

Karing 4 Kidz is a chapter of Blessings in a Backpack dedicated to providing food to our students. We offer a variety of nutritional, kid-friendly options in our prepackaged meal kits, carefully selecting food solutions to ensure the best possible nutrition for the money spent.

We host several packing events and encourage the community to come together to support children who depend on school meals. Our goal is to ensure that no student facing food insecurity returns to school on Monday morning hungry.

Who will feed the kids this weekend?

 

Thanks to a local company 1,000 food packages packed and delivered to Karing 4 Kidz as our need is greater than ever.

1 out of 5 Children in Fitchburg Schools struggle with food insecurity.

Our mission is to provide weekend nutrition for children in our community, your support plays a critical role in addressing food insecurity and making a difference in the lives of our local children.

Our program to date provides food to approximately 200 students every week and extends beyond the elementary school level, reaching out to Hosmer Head Start and high school students food pantry.
